FRIENDS-IN-DEED COUNSELLING SOCIETY

# FORMATION
The Friends-in-Deed Counselling Society (FID) was formed in early 1999 by a group of graduates from the Diploma in Counselling (2nd batch) course, jointly conducted by Care Corner Mandarin Counselling Centre and The Chinese Guidance Association of Taiwan. We’ve registered as member of NCSS since 2004.

# AIMS
The aims of this society are to work and interact with local and overseas counselling groups and individual, to improve the professional skills of its members. Most importantly, it is to put what we have learnt into practice and to contribute to the society so that we can do our part in the development of Mandarin counselling arena.

# SERVICES
Ø Face-to-face personal or family counselling
Ø Group counselling--series of activities designed for different groups
Ø Public education—talks and workshops

# CONTRIBUTIONS
Ø Our society has provided voluntary counselling services to the various organizations

§ Care Corner Singapore: Counselling Centre, Hotline, Seniors Activity Centre, Family Service Centres

§ Yong-En Care Centre
§ Neighbour Ring Community Services
§ Wings

Ø We have also conducted talks at the libraries, community centres and schools.
